The Vernon Hills March for Our Lives will begin with a rally and speaker John Idleburg, candidate for Lake County Sheriff. We will also hear from local teachers, Carolyn and Bob Pinta, and local students. From there, we will March through Vernon Hills, ending back at our Rally point.
In the last few weeks, it has been our children who have led the fight against gun violence. It is time we join them, side-by-side, as allies. The Vernon Hills March for Our Lives is an event for anyone who feels ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Fear has no place in our schools. Together, we can end gun violence. The safety of our schools is not a political issue. It is priority.
We demand universal and mental health check policies to work in conjunction for anyone wanting to purchase a firearm. We demand a minimum age of 21 for anyone wishing to purchase a gun. We demand an assault rifle ban for civilians. We demand our children come first!
Together, we can end gun violence in our schools. It does not have to be this way. Our students and teachers do not have to live like this. They don’t need to die like this. Stand with us. March with us on March 24th and refuse to allow one more needless death in our schools.
